If you want to experience the best of what Tasmania has to offer, the wine, beer, and spirit scene is a big part of that. So set out from Hobart for an action-packed day tour of exploring wineries, breweries, and distilleries and enjoying plenty of tastings along the way.
Your adventure begins at Hobart’s Brooke St Pier, Franklin Wharf, where you’ll be treated to tea and coffee before heading off to the Huon Valley. Kick off your tour with a wine tasting session at Home Hill winery and a wander through the vineyards. Next you’ll stop just down the road at Pagan Cider House, where the owner will guide you through a cider tasting. Then you’ll visit The Apple Shed to sample their iconic apple brandy, and fuel up with a delicious lunch (cost ranges from about $20 - $30, and is not included in the price of the tour).
After lunch the adventure continues with a stop back in Hobart at Lark Cellar Door and Distillery for a whisky tasting. Then you’ll move on to Sullivans Cove Distillery to try their world renowned whiskeys, including a single malt that was crowned the world’s best at the World Whisky Awards in 2014.
Finally, you’ll finish the day off with some beers. At Last Rites Brewery sample their latest beers straight from the taps, then enjoy a beer with sunset views at Hobart Brewing Co, where the tour ends after a big day.
