Swimming with fish is cool, but seals are way more fun. Seriously, they’ll swim with you, let you pat them, and if you’re lucky they might even shake your hand. You’ll also get a behind-the-scenes tour to see how they care for these animals and free admission to go check out the rest of the park (the sharks are a must).
Warbird scenic flight
Want to go back in time? Going on a Tiger Moth scenic flight will get you pretty close. Jump on a 1943 DeHavilland Tiger Moth this new year and let the seasoned pilot do their thing as you go for a ride over the Yarra Valley. Heads up - while the open cockpit is sick, you’ll want to tie back any long hair because the wind can get intense.
Full day fishing charter
Let’s see how good your fishing skills are. This full day fishing charter is a good way to kick back, whether you’re with mates or by yourself. Taking you to the best spots to drop a line in North Haven, the crew will share their tips to help you up your game. Who knows, maybe you’ll come back with the catch of the day.
Scuba dive with grey nurse sharks
A shark experience and scuba diving? Heck yeah. If you need something to get the heart racing this new year, try a face-to-face encounter with grey nurse sharks. Follow your guide around Bushrangers Bay and explore as you see these fascinating creatures up close in the flesh. There’s no cage, so you and these friendly sharks can just chill in peace.
Private wakeboard lesson
If you're down to do something different this new year, give wakeboarding a go. Private wakeboard lessons are hands down the best way to get a feel for it. You’ll get one whole hour to work with an instructor who'll run you through the techniques and maybe even some flips, twists or turns (depending how quickly you pick it up).
