Wear swimmers
You’re going to get wet, so wear your swimmers. Between the spray of the water and the urge to jump in for a dip (which you should absolutely do when possible), jet skiing is an adventure on the water, so this one is a no-brainer.
Bring a towel
Like we said earlier, you’re going to get wet. Which means having a towel handy is a smart idea. Sure, you might air-dry while on the jet ski, but what if you want to go for a swim afterwards? It’ll just make your life easier, so bring one.
Take spare clothes
Did we mention you’re going to get wet? Bringing some spare clothes to change into won’t hurt. You might not want to drive home in your wet swimmers, so fresh clothes might be a good move, especially if you live a fair bit away.
Pack sunscreen
We all know sunny days = sunscreen. You're going to have so much fun, but make sure to wear sunscreen because you’ll be out in the sun. We'd also recommend bringing the bottle so you can reapply during the day.
Invest in sunny savers
Take some sunnies. And while you’re at it, make sure you’ve got a sunny saver too. A strap that slips on the ends of your sunglasses, the sunny saver attaches the sunnies to you. You’ll be reaching some pretty high speeds on the jet ski, so these will stop them from flying off (nah, this isn’t a placement – just a very helpful tip).
Listen to your instructor
Your instructor? Yeah, they’re there for a reason. They also want you to have a good time and won’t do anything that puts you in danger so it’s worth listening to them. Like if you’re driving and they tell you to go fast, just send it and don’t be afraid (we promise you won’t regret it).
