Parasailing
Parasailing is the ultimate combo of skydiving and water skiing. Seriously, nothing says summer like flying off the back of a boat and being pulled around as you cruise through the sky. Even better, the price is nearly as good as the views. Oh, and before you go, ask if they can dip your feet in the water (thank us later).
Canyoning
If you’re after a weekend adventure, it’s got to be canyoning. Why? Because you get abseiling, swimming and bushwalking all in one go for under $300. Sure, it’ll be a big day out, but pack some snacks and a few bottles of water and you’ll be right. Once you make it out of the canyon, we promise, you’ll be ready to take on your next adventure.
Jet boating
Want a quick thrill on the weekend? A jet boat ride is a go-to. It doesn’t cost much and it’s an awesome one to do with friends or on your own. All you need to do is turn up, jump in and let the driver do their thing as they race around the water, throwing in a mix of spins, twists and other manoeuvres. You’ll also get drenched, which is needed on a hot day.
Learn to surf
Keen to carve up some waves but worried you’ll f*ck up? That’s why you do a learn to surf lesson. Literally, no one expects you to nail it on the first try. Spend a few hours with a pro and let them show you what’s what as they run you through the basics before taking you into the water to give it a go. All equipment is included too, so you know it’s good value.
Kayaking
Not all adventures need to be about speed. Don’t believe us? Grab a paddle and hit the water instead. Yeah, kayaking might be more chill but it’s still a good way to get out and explore. A bonus is that it won’t cost a whole lot either. It’s also a fun one to do whether you’re heading out on your own or going with a bunch of friends.
