If you thought spring was good, you just wait. The longer days and hotter temps make summer adventures even better.
Surfing
An adventure at the beach? Nothing makes more sense in summer. That's why you need to give surfing lessons a go. It’s not just a good way to escape the heat, but it’s also a lot of fun too.
Look we won’t lie, you’ll definitely fall in, but you’ll get the hang of it eventually because you’re taught by an expert instructor. With you the whole time, they’ll run through the basics to help ease you into it. All you need is your own towel, they’ll bring the rest.
Skydiving
If you want to go skydiving, summer is the time to do it. Why? Because blue skies make for the best views (especially if you’re landing on a beach). Oh, and it’s warmer too, which is always a plus.
Yeah, it might seem terrifying at first and your face will probably freeze up the moment you look down, but once you’ve reached the ground, you’ll be planning your next one. Hot tip: wear lightweight clothing, it’ll make it comfier once the jumpsuit is on.
Wakeboarding
It’s not summer if you don’t have a sh*t tonne of water sports lined up. Kinda like skateboarding but on water, wakeboarding is a different way to have fun while keeping cool.
Strap in and hang on tight as you’re pulled across the water behind a boat or jet ski. Don’t worry if it’s your first time - the coaches will help you get up, just expect to get wiped out a few times before you get the hang of it. You’ll be in the sun for a while so make sure you pack plenty of sunscreen.
Canyoning
Looking for a jam-packed adventure this season? It’s got to be canyoning, hands down. During winter, it gets freezing in the canyon, so it’s better to do this one in summer to avoid hypothermia.
An absolute workout, this adventure is pretty much a mix of abseiling, bushwalking and swimming all in one. You’ll climb down cliffs, scramble through waterfalls and do a whole lot of sliding. Sounds exhausting? Yeah, that’s because it is. But it’s also a heap of fun too. It’s a big day, so have a big breakfast before you go.
Jet Ski
Make the most of the hot days by letting it rip on a jet ski. Sure, it can be done any time of the year, but the water in summer hits different
The best way to get around on the water, jump on and see what’s good on your own or with mates. You can also follow a guide around as they show you a bunch of cool spots. It’s a win-win either way.
