Whale watching
Haven’t seen a whale? Well let’s do something about it. Kicking off in May through to November, whale watching season hits its peak in winter.
Jump on a whale watching cruise and see these giants in action as they migrate past the coast. Who knows, you might even get to see one breach.
Don’t forget to pack your windbreaker and a portable charger (thank us later).
Flying Lessons
Keen to fly a plane or helicopter? This is the season. No really, the cold temps make for better flying conditions due to the dense air.
No licence needed – take charge of an aircraft and enjoy the rush as you soar up high. Don’t worry, an experienced instructor guides you through the process so even though you have no clue how to fly, you’re in safe hands.
So, what will it be, helicopter or plane?
Hot Air Ballooning
The right way to spend a winter morning? On a hot air balloon, obviously. Yes, it’s an early wakeup call but in winter, the sunrises that little bit later so it's not as brutal.
Hop in and ride this tiny basket through the sky to find a whole new perspective. An unforgettable adventure, these views will blow your mind.
Heads up, space can be limited in the basket so only take the essentials.
Drifting
Speed, style and smoke- what more could you want? If you want to give drifting a go, do it this season. The compulsory long sleeved shirt, pants and helmet can get stuffy, so winter makes it more comfortable.
Flying around corners at insane speeds, the high you get from drifting is addictive. Take it for a spin yourself or enjoy the ride, whatever way you do it, you’ll get the hype around it.
Hit the track in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and more.
Aerobatics
Let’s do some flips and sh*t. If you've been eyeing off an aerobatics flight, get onto it this season. It can get warm up there under the sun, so the winter chill will help keep things cool.
Your most exhilarating flight yet, you'll experience a bunch of stunts that’ll leave you in awe (and slightly terrified).
Remember to bring some sunnies, the glare up there is real.
