What are the best experiences near me?

With adventures all across Australia, you'll be sure to find an awesome one near you. It would take us a while to list all the towns and cities across the country but we have collated the best experiences from each state to help you narrow down the search.

If you're looking for the best things to do in New South Wales, nothing tops a skydive over the beach in Wollongong, not too far from Sydney. Choose from up to 15,000ft and experience the thrill of freefall before you parachute down to the beach below. If you're coming from Sydney and you can also drive over the iconic Sea Cliff Bridge which is an awesome experience in itself if you ask us.

Did you know that one of the only cities in the world that you can fly over in a Hot Air Balloon is our very own Melbourne CBD! So it's a no brainer that this is our pick for the best experience in Victoria. Feel the pure thrill of an extraordinary hot air ballooning experience over the beautiful city, followed by a delicious champagne breakfast. What's not to love.

Moving on to Queensland's top activities, nothing beats a snorkelling tour of the Great Barrier Reef. One of the 7 natural wonders of the world and home to the world’s largest coral reef system, this is a must-see if you're in Far North Queensland. Spend the day snorkelling, take a trip to the stunning heart reef, and make friends with the awesome sea life that call the Great Barrier Reef their home.

Now if you're on the west coast, we have two suggestions since the coastline spans over 20,788km - it's not really day trip distance. The best things to do in Western Australia are swimming with whale sharks in the amazing Exmouth and skydiving over Rottnest Island! The bonus about landing in Rottnest is that you can selfie with some Quokkas.

Looking for some cool things to do in South Australia? Besides the famous Barossa Valley wine region, one of our favourite spots is Kanagroo Island. Take a kayak out on the water for the day or take on the dunes with sandboarding.

You can’t go to the Northern Territory without a trip to see Uluru, and what better way to see it than from above in a helicopter flight. Fly over the outback and experience the wonder of Uluru and Kata Tjuta all while learning the cultural and spiritual significance of the local Anangu people, the traditional owners of the land.

We can’t forget gorgeous Tasmania! Hop onboard a sea kayak and witness the wonders of the Freycinet Peninsula, the ultimate way to experience the coastline of Coles Bay and the Hazards range.

Last but not least, if you’re looking for things to do in the ACT, our jet flight simulators are a hit! Know someone who is a plane enthusiast? They’ll love this experience so take them along for the virtual ride.

What should be on my 2023 bucket list?

After the last couple of years that we’ve had, we’re here to help you add a big tick against some of your bucket-list adventures. Bring your dreams to life and get back to really living with some of our top picks:

  • Skydiving is obviously a must do! Pick from the top dropzones across Australia and take the plunge. If you’ve skydived before, do it again and in a new location – it just gets better and better!
  • Canyoning is a great way to challenge yourself with a range of beginner to advanced trips. What is canyoning you might ask? Great question – canyoning also known as canyoneering, is the act of navigating down a fast flowing mountain stream in a gorge using a variety of techniques. It’s essentially abseiling but down waterfalls!
  • Aerobatic flights are a once in a lifetime experience! Prepare to experience high speed, twists, turns and even upside down in this extreme thrill-seeker flight. Some of our planes have a top speed of 410 km/h, a climb rate of 2000 feet per minute and a staggering roll rate of 360 degrees per second. It is rated to a positive 8 G’s and negative 8 G’s so you might not want to have a big breakfast.
