What you can expect
Flying over the Great Australian Outback in a hot air balloon is an adventure you absolutely need to tick off your bucket list. With return transfers from Alice Springs, you'll witness the incredible effort that goes into getting a hot air balloon off the ground, and float high above the Red Centre for half an hour as the sun rises over the MacDonnell Ranges and surrounds. Journey to the launch site in the cool pre dawn darkness and feel the anticipation build as the balloon gradually inflates. Climb into the basket and get ready for the unbeatable feeling of take off as the flames carry you into the sky. For about half an hour you'll soar over the outback as the sun rises over vast expanse of the Australian desert all around you. Keep an eye out for native wildlife - including the iconic red kangaroo - as you take in the remoteness of the landscape below. After landing, you can get involved in assisting the crew as they pack the nylon balloon back into its bag if you're up for it, or you can stand back and watch the process. At the ballooning landing site, you can enjoy the desert tranquility as you're treated to light refreshments and snacks, still buzzing from your post-ballooning adrenaline high.

Hotel Pickup

What To Bring
- Due to the sometimes dusty conditions, it is advisable not to wear light coloured clothing
- Long pants and a hat or cap are recommended and enclosed flat heel shoes are essential
- In winter (May to September), warm clothing may be necessary as the temperature has been known to drop below 0 degrees. You will be no colder in the balloon than on the ground
- Loose items such as dangling jewellery and scarves are not permitted once passengers reach the launch site and disembark from the bus
Terms And Conditions
- Passenger weight is requested for flights. Any weight above 110kg must call before making a booking
- All passengers must provide a mobile phone and email address at time of booking
- We are able to take children 3-5 years (regular child rate applies) however we do not recommend for the following reasons:
- They generally cannot see over the side of basket (1.2 metres high) although they can look through foot holes
- The noise of the burners or the fire itself can scare them (recommend earplugs if they proceed)
- If you wish to take children 3-5 years please give us a call prior to booking
- You cannot be more than 12 weeks pregnant
- Physical fitness is not a requirement to enjoy a ballooning adventure but passengers must be able to climb up and in (there are foot holes) and stand for the duration of the flight (with secure high sides to lean on) as there are no seats in the basket
- Illness and/or recent operations that may affect the person or other persons on the tour must be notified in advance
- Medication should be brought on the tour
- Any form of disablement must be discussed prior to making a booking. Each person is considered on an individual basis
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Hot air Ballooning in Alice Springs
Our balloon adventure was awsome. The pilot Duncan made a perfect landing. Helping to pack up was also a fun part of the experience. The ground crew also kept us entertained. Overall the adventure could not have been better.
