What you can expect
Feel the adrenaline surge through your body as you put your hands on the wheel, foot on the pedal, and take off around a real race track on this incredible V8 driving experience. You'll feel like a real V8 driver at Queensland's premier V8 venue with 5 blistering laps around the track in a Generation 3 Mustang or Camaro Race Car, which are new to Australia, plus 3 high speed passenger laps driven by a racing driver.
You’ll be run through a driver safety and track briefing to get you ready to drive. This will include topics like braking, cornering, apexes, and overtaking, and you'll be introduced to the vehicles and your driving instructors. Many instructors are current or ex-V8 drivers and they’ll be in the car with you and communicating by radio intercom to help you make the most out of your driving experience.
Fully prepared, you'll accelerate out of the pits and onto the straight. With no speed limit at Queensland Raceway, test your limits and see how much speed you can handle under the guidance of your coach. With 5 unreal laps around the track, you'll soon realise how easy it is to drive this purpose build racing car.
But the fun's not over. Next, you'll be harnessed into the passenger seat to discover what these cars are capable of when a professional racing driver is at the wheel.
Remember to invite friends and family along - it's seriously exciting from the sidelines!

What To Bring
- Drivers Licence
- Wear comfortable clothing as the race suit will need to go over any clothing you choose to wear
- Long sleeves and long pants are required
- Fully enclosed, flat-soled shoes
Terms And Conditions
- Cars are manual however no prior experience of driving a manual-transmission vehicle is required
- Participants must be at least 18 years and hold your Learner's Licence with a minimum 50 hours log booked
- Participants need to be within the maximum height of 194cm and minimum height of 135cm
- Maximum weight is 120kg
- Participants who arrive on the day of their experience and do not adhere to these guidelines will forfeit their experience
- You will be required to sign an indemnity form prior to participating in the experience
- A current photo ID for both the passenger (student ID) and parent will need to be shown along with proof of guardianship, ie Medicare card
- If you normally wear spectacles, it is essential that they are soft frames and face fitting to ensure that they fit inside the helmet. Contact lenses are not a preferred option as they often become dislodged
Cancellation Policy
- For any re-bookings more than 30 days prior to a scheduled event date, there will be no penalty applicable
- For any re-bookings 30 - 14 days prior to a scheduled event date, a re-booking fee of $50 will be applicable.
- There are no booking changes permitted within 14 days of an event. Any customer which fails to attend their experience booking without modifying their booking prior to the 14-day cutoff shall forfeit their booking
- Refunds are not offered. If a customer is no longer able to attend their booking, they are permitted to nominate an alternative participant.
- If the experience is cancelled by Queensland Raceway, all bookings are to be rescheduled to a new date.

DONT BOTHER
If you are buying this for yourself or someone that has driven a manual car once or twice or not at all, do yourself a favour and DON'T BOTHER! I was pretty excited for this, getting it as a birthday present. How I was wrong. The "instructor" I had made no effort whatsoever to explain how to operate the car. After getting strapped in, he just said "alright let's go" like I daily this thing. How do I turn it on? Wtf do I do? When I say there was zero instruction on how to drive I mean ZERO. this guy screamed, swore and abused me and made me feel less and less confident. We pulled over after 2 laps even though I had 5. They put me in the older V8 for the 3 remaining laps with a different instructor who actually knew what he was doing. And was genuinely helpful. You will be told to brake way before the corner so the only real fun is the straight line speed on the straights and that's about it. Next was the 3 hotlaps. Now depending on how you tolerate speed you may enjoy this or you may find it pretty mundane. If you are the type that likes racing games, going fast and wins every time you go to a gokart track, it will leave you thinking, I could of done that (if I was in an automatic car). Super disappointed. Manual licence should be required or at least be willing to teach people that don't know stick.
Best gift ever
I got my Dad this drive and ride for Christmas and he went on Saturday and loved it. He had done the experience years ago but went in a Mustang this time. He has called me twice today raving about it.
