For a unique reef and rainforest experience, Great Adventures’ fast catamaran will whisk you away to beautiful Green Island on the Great Barrier Reef, just 45 minutes from Cairns. With three departures times daily for a full or half day trip, you can choose your way to experience the reef – stay dry in a glass bottom boat or snorkel from the white sandy beaches. As a rainforest clad island, be sure to take a stroll through the lush rainforest with a self-guided island walk, take a dip in the island swimming pool or just relax on the beach. Many optional activities are available to enjoy including scuba and helmet diving and even parasailing. A great range of affordable meal and snack options are available to purchase from the Island’s restaurant and food outlets and Pool Bar. This experience is part of our Low-Footprint Adventures range because it's Sustainable Tourism Accredited by the Australian Tourism Industry Council for being an environmentally immersive and low-impact activity.

Amazing experience
Such an amazing day, and well worth booking! Saw turtles, giant clams and beautiful fish, as well as King Cassius! Food is good, but bit expensive so would recommend bringing lunch.

Beautiful fun day!
Wonderful experience! The day was sunshine & water sparkling so was great for swimming & snorkelling. Crew on board the catamaran were great as were all hospitality team members on the island.
