Experience the unique Latrobe Valley from a whole new perspective as you soar above the greater Gippsland area during this 30 minute flying lesson. If you've ever dreamed of piloting an aircraft or taking your first step towards becoming a pilot, this learn-to-fly experience is perfect for you. Your qualified flight instructor will explain how to control the aircraft, what to expect in the cockpit, and answer any questions you may have before you hop aboard then, as soon as the plane is ready, you will strap in, start-up, and take off.Under the guidance of your instructor, you'll get to fly the aircraft, including getting to choose the route and when you're not in control, you can enjoy the view and take a few photos. The time spent flying counts towards your Recreational Pilot Certificate, making it a brilliant experience for budding aviators, and you can even bring your friends and family to watch you soar, take photos from below or just relax at the Aero Club overlooking the airfield and the Great Dividing Range.

Seasons

Flights are highly subject to weather conditions. Due to the nature of aviation forecasting, weather conditions will not be known until the morning of the flight. If the weather is unsuitable, we will endeavour to call you on the day prior to your lesson. If you are unsure if your flight can go ahead, please feel free to call ahead and check with us.

Operating Hours

Please allow two hours for the entire adventure
The 30-minute flight time begins at the start of the engine and finishes when the engine stops
Bookings are available seven days a week, normally between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm
Other times can be organised on request
Weekends are generally booked well in advance

What To Bring

Wear clothing appropriate for outdoor temperatures and climbing in and out of an aircraft
Closed-toe shoes only
We recommend bringing sunglasses and/or a hat
Feel free to bring a camera

Additional Information

Participants must be able to communicate in English to a minimum standard of being able to understand instructions and emergency procedures, including whilst in flight

Terms And Conditions

No previous experience needed
Participants must be 15 or older. Under 18s must have parental permission on the day
Participants must be able to sit in the seat and reach all the controls and physically and mentally able to go on flying lessons
Please advise us if the participant weighs more than 110 kg, or is taller than 185 cm, or of any health conditions that may affect safety during the flight, prior to confirming a booking
Please feel free to make contact with us first to assess the suitability of the participant on an individual basis

Cancellation Policy

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
