What you can expect
You’ll receive an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the award-winning exhibit that mimics their natural Antarctic environment where you'll come face to face with these brilliant birds and gain an insight into their chilly and wondrous world. Engage in a range of penguin activities that may include a feeding session or a fun enrichment program. For the safety of the animals, we do not permit jewellery to be worn on any Animal Adventures program. Please Note: Participants must purchase a SeaWorld entry ticket or hold a valid pass for entry to SeaWorld.

Exclusions
- Entry to Sea World is NOT included with any Animal Adventures Program and MUST be purchased separately. Participants arriving without an entry ticket for general admission will not be able to participate in the Animal Adventure Program booked. Admission can be purchased on the day, however it is recommended that you pre-purchase your entry to avoid waiting in line and missing your Animal Adventure
Duration
- This experience goes for approximately 45 minutes with approximately 20 minutes on the ice
- Available between 10am to 5pm
- Open from 1.30pm to 5pm on ANZAC Day (25 April). Closed Christmas Day (25 December)
- Rides and attractions are subject to change to enable maintenance and some rides and attractions will not operate during inclement weather conditions.
- Please note queue lines may close earlier to allow attractions to finish in line with park closing times.

- Sea World is located on Sea World Drive in Main Beach, Gold Coast
What To Bring
- Do not wear visible jewellery, unless protected by approved protective clothing
- Comfortable clothing and footwear
- Hats, sunglasses and sunscreen
- All personal belongings, including bags, are not permitted on the tour and will remain in the Polar Room. Please ensure valuables are stored in a coin-operated locker before arriving for program
- Photography is not permitted in the back-of-house areas, including on the ice
Additional Information
- Participants must purchase a Sea World entry ticket or hold a valid pass for entry to Sea World
- Participants must be 8 years of age or over and a minimum height of 126cm. Participants aged between 8 and 13 years inclusive must be accompanied by an 18+ guardian (maximum 2 children per guardian).
- There are no complimentary programs for guardians. Unaccompanied participants must be aged 14 years or over and be a minimum height of 145cm (measured without footwear).
- Participants must not have ANY pre-existing knee, pelvic or back injuries.
- Participants must be able to quickly exit the back of house area unassisted, including up and down stairs.
- Participants must be able to bend and kneel on the ice without assistance
- Based on medical advice, participants must not be pregnant.
- Participants must not have any open cuts or infections.
- Participants must be able to speak and/or understand English, or have a translator participate in the program with them. There are no complimentary programs for translators. Persons acting as a translator must advise staff at the start of the program. Translators must satisfy all criteria.
- Participants must wear all approved clothing including safety glasses.
- Participants must follow directions quickly to the satisfaction of staff.
- Participants must follow all safety instructions during the duration of the tour.
- Participants must remove necklaces, earrings and facial piercings.
- Participants must not have come into contact with any bird species in the previous 8 hours.
- All personal belongings and effects, including bags, are not permitted on the tour and will remain in the Polar Room. Please ensure valuables are stored in a coin-operated locker prior to arriving for program.
- Photography is not permitted whilst in the back-of-house areas including on the ice.
- Please inform staff of any medical conditions during check-in.
- Please be advised that fish/shellfish is used on the tour. Please advise staff of any allergy concerns.
- Animal Adventure booking is non-refundable and non-transferable. Participants must not have any form of disability which prevents them from satisfying the criteria for participation. Guests with disabilities are asked to call customer connect directly to determine suitability to participate in the program. Please note limited number of special needs programs are available for people with disabilities that otherwise prohibit them from participating
Terms And Conditions
- Participants in Sea World Animal Adventures are only available to Sea World guests, and only on the day of their visit
- Participants acknowledge that they will be entering an environment housing animals. Whilst SeaWorld takes all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff, participants should be aware that close encounters with animals will always involve a degree of unpredictability, where quick reaction and strict attention to directions from staff are essential
- Participants release SeaWorld to the full extent permitted by law from any claim for personal injury, loss or damage arising from their participation in Animal Adventure programs. Participants agree to comply with all lawful directions that SeaWorld makes with respect of their participation
- Certain criteria must be met in order to participate in each of the Animal Adventures programs. They are strictly enforced to ensure the safety of our guests, staff and animals. All participation is subject to final assessment by the Marine Sciences staff member at the time of attendance. If at any time prior to the program or during the program a participant is assessed by the staff as not being able to fulfil the criteria, they will be directed to leave the program. No refund will be given
- Availability, start times, duration times, number of participants, selection criteria and all other conditions and/or relevant information are subject to change without notice
Cancellation Policy
- No cancellations or refunds
- SeaWorld may at its sole discretion cancel any Animal Adventures program if the Marine Sciences staff member is of the opinion that extreme weather or other conditions make it impossible for the program to be held. In the event of such cancellation participants will either be rebooked into another Animal Adventures program (subject to program availability) or a full refund of program costs paid will be given to guests. Refunds will only be paid to the person who made the booking
- Animal Adventure bookings are valid only for the date, time and program specified

Penguins and their Baby.
Amazing, sureal experience. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful at all times. Feeding and patting the penguins was awesome. I learnt so much from the whole experience. Highly recommend.
