What you can expect
Reach thrilling heights and soak in views of the Gold Coast during this sunrise hot air balloon flight. For about an hour, you will enjoy floating with the wind high above the world below, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Gold Coast city skyline or hinterland. After landing, you'll head to the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort for a delicious breakfast. Your ballooning adventure begins before sunrise, where you'll be driven from the meeting point to the launch site. Once the balloon is inflated and you've climbed inside the basket, your pilot will gently take off and soar high above the Gold Coast. Depending on the weather and winds of the day, you will fly above either the city skyline or hinterland. Either way, the stunning landscape lit up with sunrise colours will be unforgettable. Following the flight, make your way to the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort for a delicious five star breakfast with bubbles. This is an unbelievable adventure worth getting up early for!

Time
- Flight times are planned for up to 1 hour in the air but vary between 40 minutes and 60 minutes depending on the weather
- Flight departure times vary between 3am and 5am depending on the time of the year. Departure times are subject to change depending on the dawn time (you will be required to contact the balloon operator the day prior to your flight date to ensure you have all the correct details of your flight such as flight time and pick up time)
Duration
- Flight times are planned for up to 1 hour in the air but vary between 40 minutes and 60 minutes depending on the weather
- While a flight over Gold Coast City may offer a slightly shorter duration, every moment is packed with unparalleled beauty and wonder.
- Please allow up to 4 hours for the whole hot air balloon experience
- The time will be confirmed by the pilot the night before your flight. We meet approximately 1.5hrs prior to sunrise.
Departure Location
- Main departure point for guest pick up is Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, 71 Seaworld Drive, Main Beach (you will be required to contact the balloon operator the day prior to your flight date to ensure you have all the correct details of your flight such as flight time)
Additional Information
- Clothes suitable for walking or hiking is recommended with enclosed shoes. We suggest you also bring a jacket, hat and sunglasses as well as your camera
- As part of the fun adventure, customers are invited to help roll out the air in the balloons. If you do not wish to participate, that is totally fine
- Children need to be 3 years old or over and accompanied by a parent or guardian to fly
- There is no upper age limit. As long as you are fit and healthy with no significant knee, hip or back problems, no recent surgeries or broken bones and you are not currently pregnant, you are fit to fly
Terms And Conditions
- Children must be at least three years to fly
- Participants under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by an adult
- Passengers who have significant knee, hip or back problems must consult with the pilot prior to their flight
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
- Flight cancellation by Operator:
- In the unfortunate event that a flight must be delayed, rescheduled or cancelled due to any factor, the operator will hold payment and offer alternative dates. Tickets are refundable if cancelled by Go Ballooning under unsuitable weather conditions.
- If your flight has been cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, please contact the operator as soon as possible to rebook. The operator will not accept any liability for travel, accommodation, inconvenience or other costs incurred or lost through such cancellation. International, interstate and country visitors should factor the possibility of short notice cancellation
- Rebooking must be done within 12 months of the first cancelled flight date. Rebooking a flight date is subject to availability. There will be no refunds for any bookings held for longer than 12 months, this will be at the discretion of the operator and additional fees may apply
- Where flights have been cancelled by the operator and should the customer be unable to re fly, a full refund will be offered
- Being a weather dependant activity please be aware it can take several attempts to fly

Great experience!
My husband booked us a surprise flight for our anniversary, and wow, what a great experience! The view was spectacular, and the team from Go Ballooning were all so friendly, making the morning even more enjoyable. We booked the package including breakfast at the Sheridan, which was worth the extra $$.
