Hervey Bay has long been called the jewel in Queensland’s crown and the whale watching capital of the world. Uncover this paradise for yourself as you step aboard your boat for the day: a 58-foot luxury catamaran for the Hervey Bay Whale Watching Cruise, Keep an eye out for humpback whales on one of the catamaran’s four viewing platforms as you indulge in a freshly-baked morning tea and, later, a lunch and cheese and fruit patters. Watch the whales tail slap and fin wave – be sure to bring your camera. You’ll cruise along the western beaches of Fraser, the world’s largest sand island, and most likely spot the resident dolphins, dugongs, turtles and dingoes who call this stretch home. If you book your tour between September and October, there’s a good chance you’ll see mothers and their calves frolicking in the waters. A day to remember, no matter what you spot.
