What you can expect
Enjoy a front row seat to the Australian Humpback Whale migration on a whale watching cruise from Hervey Bay. Spy on the gentle giants of the sea as they head up north to mate, play and give birth in the sheltered waters of Hervey Bay. Departing from Urangan on a spacious, eco-friendly catamaran, enjoy multi-level viewing throughout the entire vessel as you spot the Humpack Whales splashing about on the horizon. Experts will provide commentary on the day explaining all the common whale behaviours as they occur in real time including pectoral fin slapping, tail fluke up dives and tail slaps, spy hops and breaches if the whales are feeling playful and active on the day. You can even watch and hear all the action live from underwater cameras and hyrophones displayed on TV screens from every angle. A tasty morning/afternoon tea and buffet lunch will be served throughout the journey. The Hervey Bay whale watching season runs from July to October.
