This is a unique opportunity to get out on the water and be a part of a Hobart summer sailing tradition: the twilight yacht race. You’ll be sailing on board a 62 foot maxi ocean racer and ex Sydney to Hobart competitor, Helsal IV, and taking part in a twilight yacht race on Hobart’s Derwent River. Feel the excitement of the race and soak up the beautiful harbour scenery as you set off against the other yachts for the win.
Whether you’re an experienced sailor or an absolute novice, this experience suits everyone. You can be as involved or hands off in the actual sailing as you like - it’s up to you. If you want to join the expert crew and play an active role, they’ll brief everyone and assign roles. If you want to kick back and enjoy the racing atmosphere on the luxurious yacht, that’s fine too! Either way, you’ll be immersed in the excitement out on the water for about three hours of sailing. You can enjoy this exhilarating sailing adventure in the summer months between October and December only, so seize the opportunity to be a part of the Hobart twilight yacht race. You won’t regret it.

Loved it.
We had a fantastic time on the Twilight Yacht Race Sailing. Great Captain and crew. Fun afternoon. Loved it.
Highly recommended!
Excellent afternoon on the river with Mark. Entertaining and relaxed with the opportunity to be involved as much or as little as we wished. Beautiful scones and delicious cheeseboard enjoyed with a glass of wine. Expertly and professionally done, thank you team!
