Get active and enjoy a kayak tour of Melbourne city at twilight. With all the equipment and guidance you need, you'll see the city from a unique angle, paddle past old and new areas of Melbourne and take in the exciting pyrotechnic fireball display at Crown Casino. Striking off from the city centre on the Yarra River, you'll cruise past old and new areas of Melbourne waterways while hearing vibrant music from riverside venues, hearing stories of the sights you see and watching the sun set over the cityscape. You'll stop for snack and drink along the way, then check out the amazing pyrotechnic fireball display at Crown Casino at dusk. It's the perfect activity for both tourists and locals alike.

Operating Hours

Participants need to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the starting time. You will be on the water for approximately 2 hours, but please allow approximately 2.5 hours all up for your experience, including 30 minutes of pack up time.

Old running shoes/sandals/wetsuit booties
Spray jacket/thermal top (or can be provided if required)

Change of clothes for afterwards
NOTE: Wetsuits are not suitable for this adventure

Additional Information

This experience boards before sunset and lasts for 2.5 hours, including 30 minutes of pack up time
Approximate departure times vary based on the time of year:
April to September 5pm
October, November and March 6pm
December, January and February 7pm
Participants are required to sign a waiver and medical form before the activity

Terms And Conditions

Participants must be reasonably active and over 12 years of age
Participants must be able to swim 50m non-stop
Very tall (over 192 cm) and heavy people (over 110 kg) need to notify the operator in order to provide a suitable kayak
Children 12-15 must travel in a double kayak with an accompanying adult
We do operate in the rain however in the case of extreme or very windy conditions we may reschedule your experience for a later date. Notice of 2 days beforehand is provided.

Cancellation Policy

Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Best 90 mins we spent in Melbourne

My 14 year old son and I did the tour today - was awesome. Our guide Daniel was extremely knowledgeable and shared the history of Yarra River & some iconic places & buildings we passed. No kayaking skill required. A great way to spend 90 minutes. Would definitely recommend it!
