Located near Port Stephens, you'll enjoy a rollercoaster 4x4 journey through the Stockton Sands before getting out to go sandboarding down the mountainous dunes. Jump in the 4WD air-conditioned bus and ride for about 10 minutes on the exciting terrain to get to the heart of the dunes. Then you'll be set up with your own sandboard and a brief instruction so you can enjoy the non-stop fun of riding down the dunes that can be higher than 40-50m. That's like a 10-storey building, and the views of the 32-kilometre stretch of dunes are incredible. Whether you want to surf down the dunes standing up or sitting, or just want to watch, this is the perfect way for all ages and thrill levels to experience Stockton Sands. The 4WD bus shuttles run regularly throughout the day until the last departure time of 3.30 pm and a little later during peak periods, and most people stay about 1.5 hours.

Sweet trails in the sand
Super fun day. Good sand, fun ride, good slide, helpful staff, and an area set up for shade. We spent two hours chasing up the sand dunes and boarding down.

Lots of fun on the dunes!
Great fun! And cool guides, short explanation and than you can surf the dunes. Make sure to ask for Sandsurfing / Standing and not only sitting.

Kids enjoyed the day.
Had a great time but disappointed the boards with feet straps weren’t available. Should remove photos from website showing these.
