What you can expect
Take your 4WD off road for an action-packed day of sand driving in this full day training course on the beaches of the Sunshine Coast. You'll BYO vehicle and learn how to master all the techniques and tools you need to tackle all kinds of sandy terrains. This sand driving 4WD course takes you through the theory and practice necessary to handle your vehicle on the sand and beach. You'll go through the practical recovery of a vehicle in a stuck situation and the associated theory. Learn to use tools and techniques that include winching (electric and hand-operated), high lift jack maxtrax, exhaust jacks, snatch straps, ground anchors, vehicle traction control systems, tyre pressure importance, tyre tread designs, and more. After this, you'll be free to take on all your future 4WD sandy adventures. Please note: Basic 4WD driving knowledge is expected, and/or the completion of a course like the 4WD intro training course.

What To Bring
- BYO 4WD vehicle, fully fuelled up
- Solid footwear
- Plenty of water
- Dress for the weather on the day (this course goes ahead in most conditions)
- Any recovery gear you may have
- BYO food (no BBQ’s allowed)
- This experience is not suitable for spectators
- Folding chair if you have one
- Ferry fees and barge fees may be applicable to some courses as well as beach driving permits - these are an additional cost

- This experience runs in all weather conditions - including wet weather.

- Basic 4WD driving knowledge is expected, and/or the completion of a course like the 4WD intro training course
- All training sessions are designed for people of all ages
- Participants must be 18 years and over and must have P-plate licence or above
- Fitness level is not important
- Participants must be able to walk to participate
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
