Learn to drive your Four Wheel Drive vehicle off-road! This full day course is designed to show you the features of your 4WD and to enable you to experience driving your vehicle off-road in a safe environment.

If you are new to 4WD, or have recently purchased a new four wheel drive vehicle, then the Introduction To Four Wheel Driving Course is for you. Take part in our Introduction To Four Wheel Drive Course, held at our specially designed off road track on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

On this course we will cover a range of subjects including:

The correct way to drive over obstacles; How to negotiate steep hills; The features of your vehicle; And much more! This course is designed in an informal and safe environment where you can get to know how to get the very best from your vehicle and from yourself. Discover new skills and prepare to explore the continent in your Four Wheel Drive with safety and confidence!

We consider the environment and you will be learning from the only Four Wheel Drive Instructor in Australasia who holds the prestigious Master Tread Trainer certification from Tread Lightly, and who is certified by the International Four Wheel Drive Trainers Association.

Departure Location

Training takes place at a private property in Beerwah, Glasshouse Mountains.
Meet your instructor at the Beerwah State Highschool 35 Roberts Rd, Beerwah QLD 4519 where you will travel in convoy to the venue.

What To Bring

BYO 4WD vehicle, fully fuelled up
Solid footwear that is suitable for muddy terrain
Dress for the weather on the day (this course goes ahead in most conditions)
Any recovery gear you may have
BYO food and drink (no BBQ’s allowed)
This experience is not suitable for spectators

Additional Information

This experience runs in all weather conditions - including wet weather.

Terms And Conditions

All training sessions are designed for people of all ages
Participants must be 18 years and over and must have P-plate licence or above
Fitness level is not important and experience is not required (you must be able to walk)

Cancellation Policy

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

So Good, I Want To Do More!

Expert Tuition and Great Fun, far exceeded our expectations. Stephen is such a calm teacher, he builds your confidence and makes you feel that nothing is unachievable. The course content is first class, very comprehensive. At times I felt I was a little bit out of my comfort zone but with Stephen’s guidance and advice we worked our way across the terrain without a hitch. We learnt how to deal with certain hazards and how each function on the vehicle can be utilised to get you out of a sticky situation. Absolutely 100% would recommend Stephen for any 4WD training he really is amazing.
