What you can expect
SCUBA diving is one of Sydney's best kept secrets. Each weekend, thousands of divers don SCUBA equipment and head out to amazing dive spots, often located mere metres from Sydney's amazing beaches. Now it's your turn to experience the magic of breathing underwater and explore the beauties of the ocean flora and fauna hidden beneath the surface. In this Discover Scuba Diving course, fully qualified diving instructors train you on the basics required to go diving, all in the safety of a confined water environment. After your basic training you will progress to open water, all under the close supervision of your instructor. You can expect a 30-40 minute SCUBA dive, taking in the sights of Sydney's vibrant marine environment. The DSD course is a taster rather than a full SCUBA diving course. Your instructor will be please to explain your options if you want to become a fully fledged diver.

Additional Information
- Many of our dive locations are remote from shops so make sure you take a drink and light lunch with you.
- Students who turn up for dive activities in an unfit state i.e. lack-of-sleep, medically unfit, or have imbibed alcohol/drugs, within 24 hours of dive, may be denied permission to dive. This decision rests with the Instructor in charge. An additional fee may be charged for deferred dive.
Terms And Conditions
- Minimum age 14
- Diving is an exciting and demanding activity. When performed correctly, applying correct techniques, it is relatively safe. When established safety procedures are not followed, yet there are increased risks
- If you are enrolling in an entry-level recreational diving certificate you must, prior to commencing the training, complete and submit a self-assessed medical declaration form
- Some medical conditions will prevent you from diving, while others require you to seek medical advice before diving
- We will ask you to fill out a medical questionnaire to identify any pre-existing conditions that may affect your safety while diving
- Participants must be able to swim and have a satisfactory level of health
- You cannot fly within the 24 hour period following your last dive
- You must be able to swim
- You may be required to pop in beforehand for a wetsuit fitting the day prior to the dive - your instructor will contact you if this is the case.
- If you are suffering from a cold, hay fever, hangover, cough, breathlessness or ear infection on the day of dive, you will not be allowed to participate in the dive
- Chronic sinus or middle ear problems may exclude you as water depth and pressure can cause severe discomfort if you are unable to equalise pressure
- Scuba Diving is physically demanding and can be dangerous if you suffer from certain medical conditions. It is very important that you, the diver, do not suffer from any contraindications to diving
- Please carefully read the below list of medical conditions that may prohibit you from taking part in diving for your own safety: Asthma- Heart Disease- Epilepsy- Diabetes- Chest Conditions including Pneumothorax- Sinus Conditions- Ear problems/surgery- High blood pressure- Pregnancy (pregnant woman are not permitted to dive)
- If you suffer from or have suffered from any of the above medical conditions OR If you suffer from any other medical conditions, including recent injuries, surgeries or psychological conditions then you will be required to obtain a fully completed medical clearance from your doctor prior to booking in for the dive (cost varies and is payable by you)
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Safe and exciting
Had a great time and the instructor is easy going. Made me laugh every step of the way which made the experience amazing. The instructor only takes max of 3 audience which is great so you can be sure he xan focus on you and keep you safe.
