    Reach exciting new heights with a hot air ballooning flight over the Hunter Valley, Australia’s oldest wine region. Nothing compares to the feeling of taking off and soaring high above the ground as the rising sun lets you know the day is officially beginning.

    Your hot air ballooning adventure takes place over the spectacular Hunter Valley region of New South Wales just 120 km north of Sydney. On the morning of your hot air balloon ride, you'll arrive bright and early and be taken through a safety briefing. Then your ballooning adventure really begins! Enjoy the scenic views of the vineyards, mountain ranges and local wildlife as you float through the valley watching the sunrise.

    Following your hot air balloon flight of approximately one hour, all passengers return to the Rydges Resort Hunter Valley where you'll enjoy a champagne breakfast to toast your flight. This experience is available on weekdays only.

    Fitness and Experience

    • Maximum weight 130 kg
    • Minimum height 120 cm
    • You must be able to stand up for the duration of the Hot Air Balloon Flight, which is approximately 45-60 minutes
    • Please advise of any medical condition that may preclude you from flying such as serious knee, hip or back problems, recent surgeries or broken bones
    • Those more than 12 weeks pregnant cannot participate in ground activities relating to inflating and deflating the balloon and are not permitted to fly in the balloon
    • The minimum age for this experience is seven (Children must be accompanied by a participating adult)

    What to Bring/Wear

    • Outdoor clothes are recommended (avoid whites)
    • Solid shoes as the ground is often unevenly covered with dew in the early morning
    • It is often warmer in the balloon than on the ground
    • Bring sunglasses and a cap
    • Bring your camera or phone to capture the amazing views

    • Approximately one-hour hot air balloon flight over the Hunter Valley

    • Hot Air Balloon flights take place at sunrise - the exact time of your Hot Air Balloon flight experience will vary based on the time of year and will be sent to you upon booking
    • This voucher is for one person, though there will be other people in the hot air balloon with you
    • Flights will be cancelled if the weather is not suitable to conduct a safe flight (including strong winds, rain, fog or an unstable atmosphere)
    • Flight status will be advised the afternoon before your scheduled flight
    • Weekday special, not available for use on weekends

    • Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
    • Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
