Fitness and Experience
- Minimum age is 12
- You must be able to swim 200m unassisted
- Diving is an exciting and demanding activity. When performed correctly, applying correct techniques, it is relatively safe. When established safety procedures are not followed, yet there are increased risks
- If you are enrolling in an entry-level recreational diving certificate you must, prior to commencing the training, complete and submit a self-assessed medical declaration form
- Some medical conditions will prevent you from diving, while others require you to seek medical advice before diving
- We will ask you to fill out a medical questionnaire to identify any pre-existing conditions that may affect your safety while diving.
- Answering ‘Yes’ to any of the medical questionnaire may require a Dive Doctor approval to dive.
- Participants must be able to swim and have a satisfactory level of health
- You cannot fly within the 24-hour period following your last dive
- You must be able to swim
- If you are suffering from a cold, hay fever, hangover, cough, breathlessness or ear infection on the day of dive, you will not be allowed to participate in the dive
- Chronic sinus or middle ear problems may exclude you as water depth and pressure can cause severe discomfort if you are unable to equalise pressure
- Scuba Diving is physically demanding and can be dangerous if you suffer from certain medical conditions. It is very important that you, the diver, do not suffer from any contraindications to diving
Please carefully read the below list of medical conditions that may prohibit you from taking part in diving for your own safety:
- Asthma
- Heart Disease
- Epilepsy
- Diabetes
- Chest Conditions including Pneumothorax
- Sinus Conditions
- Ear problems/surgery
- High blood pressure
- Pregnancy (pregnant woman are not permitted to dive)
If you suffer from or have suffered from any of the above medical conditions OR If you suffer from any other medical conditions, including recent injuries, surgeries or psychological conditions then you will be required to obtain a fully completed medical clearance from your doctor prior to booking in for the dive (cost varies and is payable by you).
What to Bring/Wear
You will need to bring with you on the day towel, bathers, warm change of clothes, water bottle, packed lunch and a medical certificate from a Dive Doctor (if required).

Expert PADI dive instructors will show you everything you need to know to start off scuba diving. The course includes pool dives where you will learn and practice all the different skills which will soon have you breathing underwater and face to face with the fishes!
Once you have completed the pool sessions you will progress to the open water for 4 dives where you will start to discover the underwater world and may even meet the famous weedy sea dragon. All the theory, quizzes and exams for the course can be completed online in your own time.

Accommodation can be arranged for an extra cost. Please enquire at the time of booking. We are the Victorian Tourism Award Winners 2005, 2006 and 2007 for Adventure Tourism.
Numbers on the Day
Courses operate with a minimum of 4 students and up to a maximum of 6 students per instructor. In the event that minimum numbers are not met, you will be rescheduled by the experience provider.
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
