There's no better way to experience your first breaths than in the Whitsunday Islands, where you'll venture out into a dive location next to the Great Barrier Reef marine park.

    With a qualified dive instructor, you will learn all the important safety and basic skills of scuba diving, before you are guided on your very first two dives underwater. Take the time to explore the beautiful fringing coral reef beaming with endless marine life and stunning corals.

    You'll spot Maroi wrasse, Queensland groupers, angel fishes, hawksbill turtles, olive sea snakes, wobbegong and reef sharks, and if you're lucky, you'll encounter some manta rays and humpback whales in the winter.

    Fitness and Experience

    • Minimum age of 15 years
    • Must be medically fit to dive
    • You don’t need to be certified to participate in this activity 
    • You should have an appropriate level of physical fitness
    • You should not dive if you currently have a cold or congestion, epilepsy, a severe medical problem, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs
