Get ready to pedal on this guided cycling adventure through the Victorian High Country along the beloved Murray to Mountains Rail Trail. For three nights with three full days of cycling, you'll ride out of Beechworth and along the (mostly) flat, traffic-free paths that are purpose-built for cyclists. Take in the amazing scenery and stop in small towns to stay and explore their culture and hospitality, finishing off in Bright after an epic journey.
Your trip begins in Beechworth at 5pm the evening before the cycling begins, when you'll meet your leader and group for a walking tour of the historic town. The next morning you'll get set up with your bike and explore the town some more on a guided ride, before joining the Myrtleford-Everton Rail Trail for 33 fun and mostly downhill kilometres. Then you'll begin on the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail on your way to the small gold-mining town of Myrtleford, with a potential stop at a winery along the way.
Your adventure continues over the next two days through various exciting terrains and towns. Ride alongside the Great Alpine Road, enjoy views of Mount Buffalo, pass through the small communities of Ovens, Eurobin, and Porepunkah and ride past vineyards, hops producers, orchards and groves. Stay the night in the popular town of Bright and be treated to a tour and tasting paddle at Bright Brewery. On your final morning, you'll go for a loop ride from Bright towards Tawonga Gap and enjoy the sights and excitement of your final ride before heading back for check out.
