What you can expect
Prepare yourself for the ultimate V8 adventure with this adrenaline-pumping drive and hot lap combo. You can live a day in the life of a V8 driver at Queensland's premier V8 venue, with eight blistering laps driving around the track in a genuine Ford or Holden V8 race car, and three lightning-fast laps in the passenger seat. After taking your pick between the V8 Ford or Holden you’ll have a driver safety and track briefing to help you master the track. That will include things like braking, cornering, apexes and overtaking, and you'll be introduced to the vehicles and your driving instructors. Many instructors are current or ex-V8 drivers and they’ll be in the car with you and communicating by radio intercom to help you make the most out of your driving experience. Fully prepared, you'll accelerate out of the pits and onto the straight. There’s no speed limit at Queensland Raceway so put the pedal to the metal and see how much speed you can handle under the guidance of your coach. With eight adrenaline-pumping laps around the track, you'll realise how easy it is to drive a real V8 race car. Then get ready to experience the full potential of the V8 engine as you jump into the passenger seat and a professional driver takes you for three blistering laps around the track. And the excitement is not limited to inside the car, spectators will love the high-speed action from the grandstand.

Time
- Race days are held throughout the year on specified dates
- Sessions available every half hour from 7am to 11.30am
Departure Location
- This experience takes place at Queensland Raceway at 133 Champions Way, Willowbank, QLD 4306.
What To Bring
- Wear comfortable clothing as the race suit will need to go over any clothing you choose to wear. Fully enclosed, flat-soled shoes, long sleeves and long pants are required (normal runners are fine).
Terms And Conditions
- Participants must be at least 18 years and hold your Learner's Licence with a minimum 50 hours log booked
- Participants need to be within the maximum height of 194cm and minimum height of 135cm with maximum weight below 120kg
- Participants who arrive on the day of their experience and do not adhere to these guidelines will forfeit their experience
- Both Holden and Ford cars are available
- You will be required to sign an indemnity form prior to participating in the experience
- All minors must be accompanied by a parent and/or legal guardian on the day
- A current photo ID for both the passenger (student ID) and parent will need to be shown along with proof of guardianship, ie Medicare card
- If you normally wear spectacles, it is essential that they are soft frames and face fitting to ensure that they fit inside the helmet. Contact lenses are not a preferred option as they often become dislodged
Cancellation Policy
- Rebookings to be completed within 12months of original booking
- No rebooking within 14 days of the event
- Changes more then 14 days but less then 30 days
- For any re-bookings more than 30 days prior to a scheduled event date, there shall be no penalty applicable. For any re-bookings 30 - 14 days prior to a scheduled event date, a re-booking fee of $50 shall be applicable. For all bookings made directly with Queensland Raceway, this shall be processed by way of placing the appropriate credit on the customer's Queensland Raceways Account to enable the customer to re-book at a later time.
- Refunds are not offered on Any V8 Race Experience purchases. If a customer is no longer able to attend their booking, they are permitted to nominate an alternative participant.
- If the experience is cancelled by Queensland Raceway, all bookings are to be rescheduled to a new date.
